ETeachingShare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Canadian marketplace that connects educators to share, sell, and discover teaching resources. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. By using ETeachingShare, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account, including your name, email address, and role as an educator. Sellers also provide details about their school or organization and payment setup through Stripe Connect. Buyers provide minimal information necessary to complete a purchase.
- •Account details: full name, email address, and chosen role.
- •Seller profile: school or organization, subjects, and grade levels.
- •Transaction data: resource titles, purchase amounts, and dates.
- •Usage data: pages visited, searches, and device/browser information collected automatically.
2. Payment Information
ETeachingShare does not store your credit card or banking details. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe is certified to the highest industry security standards. Your connection to Stripe is encrypted and complies with applicable Canadian and provincial payment regulations.
- •Payments are processed entirely through Stripe’s secure infrastructure.
- •Seller payouts are managed through Stripe Connect accounts.
- •We never see or store your full card number or banking credentials.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the marketplace, process transactions, verify seller eligibility, and provide support. We also use aggregated, de-identified data to improve our features and platform experience.
- •To create and manage your account and membership.
- •To process purchases and seller payouts.
- •To verify Canadian residency for seller accounts.
- •To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the platform — such as Stripe for payments — and only as necessary to provide the service. We may disclose information when required by law.
- •Stripe — for payment processing and seller payouts.
- •Hosting and infrastructure providers — to keep the platform running.
- •Legal authorities — only when compelled by valid legal process.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Canadian residents may also have rights under applicable provincial privacy legislation. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the platform support channels.
- •Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

7. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.
8. Children’s Privacy
ETeachingShare is designed for educators and is not directed at children under the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by Canadian tax and financial regulations.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and notify you of significant changes via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
